Community Radio managers, volunteers and enthusiasts will meet in Poole, Dorset on Saturday 21st September this year for the Community Media Festival run by the CMA. We announced the location at our annual general meeting held at BBC Yorkshire in Leeds.

Dorset is home to some superb community radio stations and CMA members such as Hot Radio, Abbey 104, Forest FM, Radio Wimbourne and also new radio station, Bournemouth One.

Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts is the perfect venue for the Community Media Festival. It’s the largest arts centre outside of London and is located right in the heart of Poole town centre.

We're looking forward to building an excellent schedule for the day, highlighting the successes of community media organisations from across the UK and celebrating the committed people who run and manage radio projects as they face so many challenges while serving their communities on air.

Last year a hugeky succesful event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the CMA was held in the City of Leicester with 150 people attending.

If you would like to sponsor the event or book a trade stall area for the day then please email office@communitymedia.uk
