Community Media Champion Award handed to Anthony Smith from Angel Radio

The CMA gives Community Media Champions Awards to those who have made an outstanding contribution to community media in the UK. In this film CMA Chair, Dom Chambers, visits Angel Radio, one of the original community radio stations, to give their founder Tony Smith his award.

Dom Chambers visits Angel Radio to hand over the Community Media Champion Award to Anthony Smith who worked every day through the Covid pandemic to ensure older people are entertained, informed and stimulated by listening and taking part in Angel Radio.

Working an average of 80+ hours a week. Also ensuring the expansion of Angel Radio continues to reach more and more older people.

This occassion marks Dom's 110th visit to a community radio station in the UK.
